With a 14% growth in July 2024, seafood exports have significantly boosted.

According to VASEP (Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers), it is estimated that seafood exports in July 2024 reached over 885 million USD, a 14% increase compared to the same period in 2023. This represents the highest growth rate in the past six months and marks the month with the highest export value since the beginning of the year. In the first seven months of the year, Vietnam’s seafood exports reached 5.28 billion USD, up 7% compared to the same period in 2023.

·  Shrimp and pangasius are the two products with the highest export value, accounting for a large proportion of the total export value.

·  Other mollusks and crabs and other crustaceans have shown impressive percentage growth, although their absolute values remain low.

·  Other fish is the only product category that experienced a decrease from January to July 2024.

·  Shellfish and other mollusks had the highest growth rates in July 2024, with growth rates of 119.4% and 207.9%, respectively.

The above data shows that Vietnam’s seafood export industry is experiencing positive growth, especially in mollusks and crabs.
