Quality Tests before Shipment

Before each shipment, the products will be thoroughly tested by highly experienced QC team. The products will be inspected based on quality, the quantity agreed upon for packaging, gross weight, net weight, size, glazing percentage,…

The next essential step is the visual inspection on the product. The senses in question are sight, smell, taste, touch and hearing.

Sense – Aspect of quality

Sight: General appearance and condition, size, shape, physical blemishes, colour, gloss, identity

Smell: Freshness, off-odours and -flavours, taints, oiliness, rancidity, smokiness

Taste: Freshness, off-tastes and flavours, taints, oiliness, rancidity, smokiness, astringency, the primary tastes of acidity, bitterness, saltiness, sweetness

Touch (by fingers & mouth): General texture, hardness, softness, elasticity, brittleness, roughness, smoothness, grittiness, gumminess, fluidity, wetness, dryness, crispness, presence of bones

Hearing: Brittleness, crispness

Lab Tests

Additionally, other quality control criteria need to be implemented in the laboratory to ensure product safety for human consumption such as microbiological and chemical analysis. 

Laboratory tests are conducted upon specific requests from customers and are carried out at least 10 days prior to shipment at the loading port.
